Immigration practitioner

Panahghars immigration service provides assistance, advice and guidance to women who do not have Indefinite Leave to Remain and have fled domestic abuse and sought refuge in our facilities. Most of these women are on a partner visa and therefore financially dependent on their husbands and have no recourse to public funds because of their immigration status.

In addition to supporting women in our refuges, Panahghars immigration service extends its reach to assist Outreach and IDVA in supporting vulnerable individuals within the community who are facing immigration issues. These cases may involve various types of visas, including cases where individuals have no legal permission to remain in the country.

Furthermore, Panahghar's immigration service endeavours to educate professionals outside of our organisation about the connection between immigration and domestic abuse. We have provided training sessions to Coventry Council, Leicester Council, Coventry Haven, Valley House, and the Claudia Jones organisation. Our goal is to continue expanding this service, educating professionals, including the development of a comprehensive in-house immigration service.
